Latoya McCoy was raised in Atlanta, GA where she lived with
her grandparents. She now resides in Stone Mountain, GA. She is the oldest of 6
kids by her mom and 3 kids by her dad. She has an eight-year-old son who is the
light of her life and a new blessing from heaven. She has a wonderful husband
who is a man of God, Pastor Calvin McCoy, Jr. whom she loves and adores and
thanks God for daily.
First Lady McCoy was raised Baptist but converted over to COGIC in 2002 where she was born again. She attended Cornerstone of Faith from 2002 to 2009. While actively working in ministry, she wore many hats such as youth department administrator, intercessor, liturgical dance minister, and administrator for young adult women’s ministry. 2009 was a year of transitioning for First Lady McCoy. November 2009 she was united with her soul mate in holy matrimony and transitioned to Hope for Tomorrow Deliverance Center under the pastoral leadership of her husband.
She has a love for young people, especially young adult women. Her life, filled with trials and tribulations, has only allowed her to be a testimony to women, especially young women, that anything or any situation can be conquered with the power of God. Her hearts desire is to open up a girl’s home for under-privileged pregnant teens, complete her book, “Blessed Rejection”, and become a Christian teen counselor providing counsel not only in the church, but in the community and school system as well.
She lives knowing that only those things done for Christ will last. Therefore, she takes no opportunity for granted and consults him daily for her day-to-day itinerary. She is a woman after God’s own heart, yielding and willing, ready to be used by Him. Those who truly believe in God’s wonders have testified that He works in mysterious ways. An example of His mystery, First Lady McCoy is on fire for the Lord, and she intends to do his work until the flame is extinguished.
