S.W.A.G JUVENILE DIVERSION PROGRAMS.W.A.G stands for Students Willing to Achieve Greatness. The S.W.A.G Diversion program is an 8 week 18 hour diversion program.
We are a Passion Based Program designed to rehabilitate our youth by rehabilitating their environment. We believe that effective rehabilitation is not only changing the environment someone came from but also cultivating healthy relationships of everyone involved in the environment. The S.W.A.G. Diversion program is designed to be a court appointed program in lieu of probation or juvenile sentencing. We have come to learn, when we send our children to juvenile many times they learn to be criminals. Oftentimes, the youth build friendships with other youth, which could have a negative impact that could potentially influence them beyond the juvenile facilities. Since the start of the S.W.A.G Initiative, 90% of the youth that have been a part of this program have come from broken homes, or have been a product of non-effective parenting. Our program focuses on rebuilding the youth, rebuilding the parent, so that we can rebuild a broken home. It is important that change is produced on both the youth side and the parenting side. Initiative Introduction – Crunk for Christ Radio The introduction of the program begins with a live radio show. During the show we break down the walls. This allows the teens to feel comfortable enough to open up to us and talk about themselves, their issues, their dreams and goals. During this same time we are teaching a class with the parents,. The 2nd hour, the parents tune into the live show. The parents listen to the show to gain a different perspective of their teen. What’s the Real Problem The second week gets to the surface of the problem. We teach a class to the teens on how to recognize issues and allows the teens to acknowledge what the issue truly is. Our class with the parents come from a different angle. We ask the question “Is it the Parents fault?” This class is not to find a person to blame but to discover where the teens issue arose from. This allows the parents to often see how they can possibly be contributing to the behavior of their teen. Let’s Get a little Deeper The third week goes a little deeper. We believe one of the reasons our teens start making mistakes that get them in trouble with the law is at some point they stopped caring about the consequences. We want to know why? So this class focuses on the reason behind the mistake. Our class with the parents deal with the attitude, “Don’t tell me how to raise my kids” We deal with the defensiveness behind receiving advice and help. Time for a Change The fourth week class teaches the teens how to develop a new attitude. The class focuses on the steps to produce an effective change. Our class with the parents focuses on teaching the parents how to listen to their teen. The class teaches the parents how to listen to what is being said and what is not being said. We teach them to hear more by listening more. We also teach them to give their teen a voice. How can you hear your teen if they do not have a voice. Write the Vision The fifth week focuses on planning. We teach both the teens and parents how to write the vision for their family, how to set attainable goals, and how to bridge the generation gap so the family can grow undivided. Initiate the Vision The sixth week is initiation week. These classes focus on implementing the vision. We teach both the teens and the parents how to start and adjust to their written plan. Standing in the Change The seventh week class completes the program. This last class teaches both the teen and the parents how to be patient with the vision, how to stand in the change, how to avoid going backwards. We also encourage them to come back to the program if they recognize the family is falling away from the vision New Beginning Graduation Banquet Receive Certificate of Completion The 8th week is the New Beginning Graduation Banquet. We hear from both teens and parents on how the program changed their lives. After hearing from the teens and parents , we award the Certificate of completion. . live Studio line678-532-7865

S.W.A.G F.O.C.U.S Mentoring ProgramThe S.W.A.G F.O.C.U.S. Mentoring Program is different from our Diversion Program. Our F.O.C.U.S Mentoring Program focuses solely on the individual. This program is a Passion Based Program designed to motivate, encourage, refocus, structure, and empower our youth. F.O.C.U.S stands for Focusing On Change Understanding Success. We believe that if we are able to get our young people to focus on change; Changing their behavior, Changing their attitudes, changing the way they think, and changing the way they see life we can teach them what success is. We believe if we can help our youth understand what success is that the knowledge will motivate them, empower them, and encourage them to do better.
Our program is for both young women and young men. We have both male and female mentors available for the youth that decides to be apart of our program. This program is a voluntary program and the youth must commit to the program for 6 months. After the six months they can decide to continue in the mentorship program or end the program. We believe by utilizing the big brother, big sister concept we can provide our youth with positive role models and give them someone they can confide in and trust. Our Mentors are volunteers that have worked with CFC Broadcasting for over a year. They have come from our Community Partner called UnityFest. The UnityFest group is a group of dedicated people who work in Music and Television industry committed to see the community change starting with our youth. To Learn more about
